Welcome - 30th Annual Jacob Deer Rut
The fall and and early winter months begin yet another year for the Jacob Deer Rut. This year is especially meaningful because 30 years ago in November a little friendly wager turned into a 12 person contest. From there, through the years the contest has expanded and grown to more than 500 contestants on average. (more)

The final updates have been made to the leaderboard for the 2008 contest. Congratulations to James Powell for taking the top spot in the Buck's category at 198.6lbs and Jimmy Loos winning the Doe Category by weighing one in at 131.0lbs. Luke Estel and Eric Carruthers grab the top teams spot by having a combined weight of 368.8lbs. Click on the leaderboard link for full results.
Annual Banquet Notice
The annual Banquet and awards presentation will take place on Saturday, December 20th 2008 at the Murphysboro American Legion. The food will be served starting at 4:30pm and last until until 7pm. Gun raffles and packet raffles will take place again as in years past. When the awards ceremony concludes, the DJ will provide entertainment until 1am.
