Contest Rules

-- Only Illinois Firearm Permits
-- All deer must be check in with IDNR the same day it was killed and before it is checked in at Jacob Deer Rut

-- All deer weighed in must have an IDNR confirmation number on tage before checking in at Jacob Deer Rut

-- Jacob Deer Rut Weigh in hours will be from 10:00am to 10:00pm during days of shotgun season only.

-- Deer must be completely field dressed. No internal organs or genitalia attached

-- All deer weighed in at Jacob Deer Rut will have hoof spray painted.

-- The person who killed the deer must check in deer at Jacob Deer Rut

-- Only one entry in the Jacob Deer Rut per contestant regardless of number of permits held.

-- Prizes will be awarded for top 20 place bucks and at least top 5 does. Cash will be awarded for top 5 teams.

-- Top 3 hunters 15 and under will awarded prizes. Contestants who qualify for prizes in the main contest to do not qualify for this category.

-- Oldest and Youngest hunters will be awarded kill prizes.

-- Lie detector or stress test will be given at committee discretion randomly to 3 of the winning contestants.

-- Metal detectors will be used at weigh in.

-- Team members must both be signed up in individual contest before signing up as a team

-- Winning deer will be subject to confirmation with IDNR as to the validity of check in confirmation number.

-- All prizes are purchased at Dunn's Sporting Goods in Marion. There is no cash refunds. Exchanges for different sizes only.

-- Decisions of Jacob Deer Rut Committee are final.

-- Deer will be checked in at the Old Tin Barn Bar and Grill in Jacob Il. For directions call 618-763-9999.

-- $10 per sign up -- $20 per team
